When I arrived on Sunday I was warmly welcomed from my host-family in Dorset, Beaminster. On my first full day in England my teacher took me to West Bexington , where we walked along the pebbly beach. Afterwards we went to Bridport, West Bay, where we had a picnic.
Our next excursion took place on Thursday, for that we had to drive up to Burton Bradstock, where the Land Rover for the Jurassic Safari picked us up. It was thrilling to drive up all those tiny roads and listen to the stories of the organiser. Unfortunately the weather was not great, it was really foggy. Nevertheless we could enjoy our day and saw at least a deer. Luckily at the end the fog cleared a little.
On Saturday we went to Bournemouth to explore the town. We visited the museum and watched a movie in the cinema as a conclusion to the day.
In my second week we had a drink in an old English Pub with that traditional atmosphere. We had a good time there.
Our last trip brought us up to Golden Cap again, but it was totally different from the first time, because the weather was beautiful and that allowed us to have a gorgeous view of all the surroundings. Furthermore the marine air hit our face gently and we were able to search the horizon in the far distance. It was just breathtaking! Our morning then ended with a brunch in Lyme Regis, with a nice cream tea.
Overall I had an excellent time and I could not imagine having a better host-family as well as a teacher. They treated me like a family member and they are not just friendly, they are so kind-hearted. I regret to have not booked another week with them.
