My name is Nataliya. I am from Ukraine.
I came to England with my daughter and son.
My daughter is preparing for an exam in a private school. I wanted to improve my English. We lived in different families so we only communicated in English.
I stayed with my son in Sally’s and Andy’s house. My teacher was friendly and polite. Sally is very good at cooking.
Teacher’s family is amicable, communicable and affable.
I visited villages and cities in the area: Monmouth, Newport, Cheltenham, Newent, Ross-on-Wye, Raglan. I had a brilliant trip in London. I saw the London Eye, Westminster Bridge,Trafalgher Sguare, Aquarium, Madam Tussards, Natural History Museum, Harrods.
It was beautiful and useful period of time.

One week in Bristol
I have spent one week in Bristol with Lesley and her Family. What can I say? It has been a really nice experience that I’ve never done before. Lesley is a lovely person and a good teacher and she with her family make me feel very comfortable.
The course was really good, focused on my necessities. That’s what I expected before coming, so it was great! But now, the most important thing is to carry on my English! At least, the first step is done. 🙂
Bristol is a nice city; I’ve been only one week so I haven’t had enough time to discover. We were really lucky because during my stay in Bristol there was the wildlife photographer of the year exhibition; I haven’t ever seen such a great pictures!! And we saw them for free!
Learning English in St.Albans
Hello! My name is Nadezhda. I’m from Moscow. It is important for me to learn English for my job and my life. Kate and her family helped me open the door in English lessons. With Kate’s family I saw many new places, met many people and got new knowledge and experiences. I want to thank Kate and family for these beautiful times. I’ll come back to the UK.
Fantastic and unforgettable as always!
Our homestay in York
My Name is Monika. I´m in my late forties and I’m living in Liechtenstein. This was the first time that I had convinced my husband Bruno (who´s the same age) to do a homestay as a couple. We booked a one week homestay from the 27th of December near York in Nick´s and Lois´s house. Both of them are very kind. professional, well organized and prepared, but also very flexible teachers. It was a pleasure to live in their nice, neat and tidy and cosy house. We enjoyed every single day. The classes were very interesting, never boring, and often extremely entertaining. They taught both of us (my husband is a beginner, I am an advanced student) at the same time but in different rooms. …….We went sightseeing to “Fountains Abbey”, the old medieval City of York, visited the viking museum,….We also visited a classical concert in Leeds, had a special farewell dinner in a typical victorian restaurant,….The only thing was that I suffered from health problems. Nick gave me the best support. He took me to the hospital, bought some medicine, accompanied me to a physiotherapist. He even tried to catch up the missed lessons.
As in my 4 previous homestays (Guildford, Marlow, Woodbridge, Torquey) which I did as a single person, LLE is a company which I can highly recommend. They take care of their clients. Their service is unique and until now all homestays have been excellently organised. Congratulations!
Two weeks in Bristol
Two weeks ago I was in Bristol enjoying a nice and friendly city with Charles. He was my teacher and I was living with his family at their beautiful and comfortable house. My experience in England has been excellent. Day by day I felt more confident with my speaking and my listening. I had four hours of lessons every day, and Charles showed me interesting places and gave me a lot of explanations about them. Now, after two weeks, I’m still studding at home…I don’t want to lose what I learned there!
2 weeks in Bristol
I stayed 2 weeks in Lesley and David’s house. I met different young people from other countries as well, so I was able to improve my English and listen to lots of different accents! Everyone was very kind to me and friendly. I could go out with them and spend some of my free time with them and speak English all the time. I had 4 hours of lessons every day and the time went so fast! The classes were fun, dynamic and I improved my listening – and hopefully my speaking – a lot. Lesley listened to my opinion about what I wanted to improve. The atmosphere in the house was great – and the meals too! I recommend this type of course to anyone who wants to improve their English. I’m sure I’m going to do it again!
I felt at home in Bristol!!
I’m Carmen, I’m from Valencia and I stayed in Lesley’s home for two weeks. I felt at home, I had fun learning English and meeting new people.
I was very happy thanks to Lesley and her great family. People in Spain told me that English people were serious and wouldn’t understand my jokes, but it isn’t true!!! This family broke the stereotype. We laughed a lot!
I also went to the office of Living Learning English and met all the people who work for this organisation, all of them were very friendly!
This kind of course is really good for me because I learned English, went sightseeing and lived in a family. For me it is important when I travel to know how people live, and I was able to share and feel like one of the family.
All of them are marvellous!
