Great stay in Bournemouth!

I spent a very good time with Dorothy’s family! We had very interesting lessons. These lessons were very useful to me. I think that my English has become better. Our entertainment was really amazing! We went shopping(I like shopping very much. And I bought some souvenirs for my family),we went to a swimming pool,to a new forest(we fed wild horses there),we also went to play crazy golf! It was absolutely fantastic! And we flew on a big balloon yesterday! It was very exciting! Sometimes we went for a walk. We walked near the sea! The sea was very beautiful:) I enjoyed my trip to England very much!!!!! Polina:)))))

Day trip of Roman Baths

A week ago, I went to the Roman Baths with my host family  and their daughter and a friend( Rehal ), then we walked around the centre and did some shopping, also I have  seen different  street music and mime artists. Finally, we went back to Bournemouth. Bournemouth is a great place to stay but i think Bath is better for shopping, but Bournemouth has wonderful beaches and more sunshine.

My stay in Bournemouth

I came here to improve my speaking and use of the past tense.  Which I did!  I really enjoyed the course because of the variety of what we did.  I learnt a lot of speaking expressions,  vocabulary and pronunciation.  My host family put me at ease from day one as I was feeling a bit stressed before I came.  They encouraged me to do a lot of activities by taking me to the local swimming pool, crazy golf, snooker and table tennis, cycling along the beach promenade, a visit to Stonehenge, eating at a restaurant, shopping in Bournemouth,  and skateboarding on my own at the local skate park and along the beach.

Two wonderful weeks at the Gordon’s! (Bournemouth)

Hi!  My name is Carmen and I’m a 23 year old girl from Spain. I have spent the last two weeks in Bournemouth, a lovely town in the south of England. I stayed with the Gordon family and it has been a really good experience.

They live in a house in the outskirts of Bournemouth but is very easy to go into the town centre. They have taken care of me and given me a lot of help. The food was really good and they also showed me how to cook a very typical English meal: a roasted dinner!

Every morning I got up and I had some breakfast with David, the father, and then we started our English lessons. He has taught me many useful idioms and how to use them in daily conversation. I think that he is a really good teacher. I have learnt a lot and I have improved my speaking.

As you can see in the photographs I visited some nice places: Stonehenge, Salisbury, Swanage, The Russell-Cotes Museum… Bournemouth has a beautiful beach and there are places like Hengistbury Head where you can enjoy the stunning views.

My stay in Bournemouth !

Hello, my name’s Maud, I’m 18 and I come from France. I spent 2 weeks in Bournemouth, a pretty town just near the sea, with a lot of shops and a wonderful park with lots of activities!

I lived with Marta, a Spanish student in the house of our teacher Jane, and her husband David and their two funny boys: Nathan and Joseph.

I discovered a lot of things with this nice family, like the pretty city of Christchurch, and the wonderful Marwell zoo, the incredible site of Stonehenge and the town of Salisbury with its beautiful cathedral. All of these things helped with our learning!

Bournemouth is q very pleasant place to live, and we were just near the high street and the beach. We also went to the cinema twice; it was a really good experience for listening, with very pleasant memories. And we also went to an Aqua Park where we had a lot of fun!

I learned a lot of things during this stay and enjoyed so much these two weeks in the English country. 🙂

Hi! I’m elena from Italy!

I’m sixteen years old. I have been  in Bournemouth for three weeks in David Gordon’s family: David (the teacher), Julia( his wife), Tom (his son) and Nicole (his daughter) .

Every morning we had three hours of lessons with David. The lessons were very interesting and not boring! During the week we visited  lots of places and towns. We went to Poole, to the New Forest with David and Julia. We went also to played Ten Ping Bowling!!

During the free time Lucy ( the spanish girl that studied with me)  went with me to often in the centre of Bournemouth and to Christchurch.

Every Saturday we visited a city for all the day, some of the places that we went to were Bath and Durdle Door.

During the week I played badminton with the family, on Wednsday and on Sunday. I met a lot of David’ s friends. One evening we went also to the house of Julia and David’s best friends! They were very friendly! And now I can play badmintin!! I really like it!

I REALLY ENJOYED THEESE THREE WEEKS! I improved my English, I visited new places and I met new people!

Our stay in Bournemouth!

Hello, our names are Stephanie and Marta! We come from Austria and Spain, and we are both 16 years old. We’ve spent three weeks in Bournemuth, England, at the Riley’s.

We were very lucky with the weather and therefore we spent our free time on the beach. We also went the centre of the town a few times and visited the museum Russel -Cotes. Although we had lessons we had a lot of fun, our family was very nice and we got on very well with them. Besides the fun we were able to improve our English. We would recommend everybody, who wants to learn English and would like to have new experiences abroad to stay with Rebecca and her family (Ian, Lilith and Edward).

To conclude, here are some pictures of our stay! Hope you enjoy it!
