First of all, I’d like to say that I enjoyed my home tuition course very much. I had great time during my stay in Bristol. I was there for only one week, but it was amazing.
My teacher and her family are wonderful people and they are so friendly, I enjoyed every day spent with them.
The excursions I had were very interesting and fascinating. I believe, that during this one week course I improved my English, brought it to a higher level.

Teacher, Gill Stephens, has a great experience and she really knows to adapt lessons and teacher methods to the needs to the student. She has motivated me in my learning process and in adition to the day-to-day lessons, she has been able to detect my limitations and boundaries. She helped me to work out a teaching training in the long term. I am absolutely delighted for her help. She is, certainly, the best English teacher that I have ever had.
Thanks to Gill I have achieved to improve my English skills and to gain more self confidence. I am very satisfied with the progress made. Excellent!
Having returned to Spain after three weeks in Bristol studying English with Lesley and his lovely family and have to say it has been a great experience.
As not everything in life is studying, after our three-hour class in the morning, and after lunch, watching the news and practicing my English speaking with Lesley on them, in the afternoon, I had free time for tourism. Sometimes accompanied by Lesley and others on my own, have had the posibility to visit Clifton Suspension Bridge,St Mary Redcliffe Church, St Mary Redcliffe Church,Bristol Cathedral,The Georgian House, The Red Lodge and so on. And even take a turn on weekends in Bath, Stonehenge, Salisbury Lacock, Wells, Wales.I’ve also had the opportunity to practice my english with others students staying at Lesley´s house, which gaves a bonus to my stay.
In short, my trip was a perfect combination of learning the language, and culture journey that has allowed me to meet other cities, other customs, other culture.
I want to thank from here to the LLI organization, and Fran and Pauline, who were our companions, great day we spent browsing the Avon River, visiting Brunel’s ss Great Britain and having lunch.
During 8-21 September 2013 I had my English course in Clevedon, with a very nice and qualified teacher Yvonne Tucker. I enjoyed our lessons, they were useful for me and all topics were really interesting, because Yvonne tried to find teaching materials according to my interests, that was very important, it made me always be interested during the learning process. Another important part of my course was conversations. I spoke in my lessons on different subjects, and after them, because I lived at the teacher’s family and had to communicate, and that was precious practice!
It was my first time in the United Kingdom, so everything was interesteing to me. With my teacher we visited Bristol, Bath, London, Weston-Super-Mare, Oxford. All the trips were fantastic! I really enjoyed them!
I would like to say THANK YOU to Living Learning English and Yvonne Tucker and her family for these wonderful days which I spent together with you and your help! Certainly I have improved my English, and when I get back to my work in Ufa, Russia, it will help me in my work.
I would like to say to people who are thinking to take a homestay course with Living Learning English: do not doubt, this is a unique program which makes your English better in every way.
I’m Antonio from Valencia (Spain) and I spent a week in a comfortable house located in Wandsworth Common (London).
I had an unforgettable experience: lessons arranged connecting with my background and nice excursions: London Eye, Thames Barrier, Greenwich, Hatfield House and the Science Museum. I also had the chance to get involved in volunteering.
I really recommend this experience because it gave me the opportunity to face common situations that help me improve my confidence when speaking English.
Definitely fantastic. I only spent a week in Cardiff with my teacher Kathryn and her husband Huw. Cardiff is a really nice city. You only need 20 minutes walking from the house’s teacher to city centre, fairly close. Kathryn showed me the Castle, Millennium stadium, National museum and the Bay. My course had 30 hours in one week, so it was an intensive and hard week. I had the chance to brush up on my knowledge of English and I learnt lots of new tools for business. About the family, only one comment: Absolutely homely, patient, open-minded and with a very good sense of humor. I am looking forward to having another chance like this.
My name si Daniele, I’m from Italy and for my first visit in England I choose a course of Live Learning English.
What I can say about this experience is that everything was fantastic. I spent one week with Gill and Nick in their house in Brighton, speaking all days in English and improving in this way my ability to speak about all topics commonly used during normal conversations. Also Brighton is a lovely city and people is very friendly.
I hope that this kind of courses are useful to learn the language and england’s customs, surely better than other course that I had done in past.
My name is Alba, I’m from Spain and I’ve spent one week is St. Albans with Kate and her lovely family. It has been an amazing experience, living abroad, meeting different people and trying different and delicious food.
St . Albans is a nice and quiet place to learn English. Peter showed me and told about the city history, He’s a fantastic guide.
During this week Kate has given me the chance to visit some pubs, go to the theatre and meet local people to practise my English. We went also to visit Rothamsted, an importante research station where I practised my scientific language with researchers. I met two scientists and we will keep in touch.
