Last year I went to England to improve my English. I stayed two weeks with my teacher, Jacqueline Chadwick, her son Alexander, her dog Timmy, and a Spanish student. I really enjoyed my course last year so I decided to come back again. This time I stayed two weeks again, this time with a Ukrainian student called Yurii. He taught me some Ukrainian, we played snooker and chess together. We played badminton, went kayaking, cycling and walking. We became good friends. We had excursions to London, to Exmouth beach, to Clark’s Village for shopping, and for beautiful country walks. Every morning after breakfast we had lessons for three hours. We decided what topics we wanted to study and what grammar rules we didn’t understand. The lessons weren’t boring because we had some active lessons and learned vocabulary in the house and garden, and did some role play lessons for things like shopping and meeting people. The lessons were designed personally for us. This course made me discover new cultures and I could share my own culture.
