• Eduardo Caballero | 10 Jan 2012, 10:39 One-to-one course in the teacher's home The English course at  Living Learning was an intense and profitable experience. I stayed at Kathryn’s house which is located in a nice suburb near the centre of the lively University city of Cardiff.  My teacher, Kathryn and her husband Huw helped me to improve my English level for business and I had the opportunity to maintain very interesting conversations with them. I had the chance to visit the famous sights of Cardiff: Millennium Stadium, Cardiff Castle, the Wales Millennium Centre, the Cardiff Bay… The course fulfilled my expectations, helping me to develop my self-confidence in using the language in real situations and business terminology and techniques to apply in my everyday life. I am looking forward to having the chance to go back soon. Many thanks and best wishes

  • Alexander Koinov | 11 Oct 2011, 11:36 Learning English in St Albans I had a four week Business course in St Albans with Kate Irving. It was my first visit to the UK. My main aim was to improve my conversation skills because I have my own business and I need to speak English with my clients. Every day I had lessons for 4 hours and after that I had many socializing activities with Kate’s friends and family. Kate created a useful environment for me to improve my English. The food was excellent – we had many different dishes every day. We visited Cambridge and London. We saw Les Miserables in London. Kate arranged a meeting with a local accountancy company which provides the same services as my company. Finally I had an important meeting with my London branch and they were impressed with my improvement in English.  I really enjoyed this experience and recommend this intensive method for business people who have limited time.

  • Davide Dal Pozzo | 11 Oct 2011, 10:48 Professional Academic English in London My name is Davide Dal Pozzo, I am from Italy. I completed one month course in Professional – Academic English in London. This period was wonderful: I learnt a lot , I really enjoyed the course. Damian is a very friendly and experienced English teacher.  We have been to Windsor two times and we also visited Eton’s colleges with the riding school, then Cliveden, an Italianate mansion and estate in the Buckinghamshire and other parks of the National Trust. After visiting many museums and historical buildings in London, I had good time in Oxford, Stratford Upon Avon, Greenwich and other lovely historical places.  These excursions played an important part in the comprehension of  the history and culture of England.  Damian and his family are very kind: conversation with the teacher and family outside lessons was important in the progress I made. I really enjoyed my stay: it seems like to be at home, the family is nice and London is fantastic.  The Individual Study Plan proposed to me helped me and the teacher plan the best course: in this way my English has improved more than I expected.  Damian is an experienced teacher of English as a Foreign Language and can offer General English, Business and Professional English, Academic English. His main qualifications are MSc Climate Change Impacts and Sustainability and BSc (Hon's) Degree in Geography / Science.  Thanks to Damian’s experience, I could learn a lot about climate change and sustainable energies, very important topics of my jobs.  I particularly appreciated the teacher’s patience and availability in explaining various subjects about the United Kingdom history and culture.    The course in London enhanced my awareness of British culture, tradition, history and language.  For these reasons I think that the period I lived in Britain was certainly excellent.   I really enjoyed my experience in London, during these days I had great time and the month has passed very quickly: in my future I would like to meet this nice family again.  I’m thinking about coming back to London as soon as possible: I love this city!

  • Kate Hargreaves | 10 Oct 2011, 16:14 A Great Experience It was a great experience – I learnt a lot in two weeks.  I really enjoyed the course - Barbara is an excellent teacher.  I found the Business English very challenging but also practical and useful for my career. We chose the topics together so I studied the subjects which I found important for me. I loved going to London with Barbara because we visited so many interesting and different places. She’s an excellent cook too. It was fun.

  • Jose Andreu | 22 Oct 2010, 18:45 week in the UK Hello, My name is José and I’m writing to all future students who want to learn English in the UK with Living Learning English. I went to the UK because I need to improve my English for my job. I was in Bath for four weeks and one week more in St. Albans. It's a very good way to learn English because we have to speak English all the time. We had lessons every morning for four hours.  In Bath, I stayed in Sarah’s home.  She has a nice family with her husband Robin and their two children (12 and 15 years old). I enjoyed being there a lot. Bath is a beautiful town with a lot of museums. It’s an interesting place because of its history, including Roman times. I also visited Bristol, where I saw the Suspension Bridge. We visited Stonehenge, Salisbury Cathedral and the Roman Baths and museums in Bath. I played tennis with Paul, a tennis coach, who taught me a lot.  In St. Albans I was with David and his wife Stephanie. They are very friendly, and lovely people.  I wanted to stay more weeks with them, but I had to return to Spain earlier than I expected. We did a lot of things there, but the most exciting for me was when we went to Cambridge.  I recommend this course to all of you.

  • Toni Coll Pont | 15 Oct 2010, 20:29 Learning English with a Family I've been in Carol Smith's house for a week. From 10th - 16th October 2010. I believe that this is the best option to learn English, being submerged in a warm, native, English family, away from other Spanish speakers and submerged into intensive English classes.    Apart from the notable increase in my level of English, I wouldn't miss this opportunity to  explain the wonderful experience lived during this week.    Toni from Manresa - Spain

  • Ulf Mildner | 18 Jan 2009, 15:26 Review of my stay in Bath I very much enjoyed my stay in Bath near Bristol in October 2005. The family I stayed with was very nice and hospitable. Although I only stayed for one week, I improved by Business English a lot. Besides studying Business English I had the chance to explore Bath and the area with my teacher and by myself. People I met were very friendly and polite.
